“So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver.”

In-person Giving
The collection of an offering during Sunday morning worship services remains a tradition and an option that many members still prefer.

Why Should I Give?
Like all churches, Hosanna depends upon the financial support of its members and visitors to fund its programs and outreach. The spiritual life and growth of our congregation through worship liturgy and music, the growth of discipleship through the education of all members –Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, Confirmation, Youth programs, adult education and Bible studies, – pastoral care in times of joy or sorrow, and our outreach – sending members and support to serve many local and global ministries, such as ELCA benevolence, and missionary support, to name a few – all are made possible through the generous tithes and offerings of members and visitors.

Food Pantry Giving
In 2013, Hosanna became a food distribution site for the Channel One Food Bank, opening Hosanna’s Pantry which distributes food on the fourth Saturday of each month. People in need also come to Hosanna to receive food from our small Sharing and Caring Food Pantry located in the gathering area near the west entrance door. Members are encouraged to donate non-perishable grocery items for the Sharing and Caring Food Pantry. Monetary donations to the Pastor’s Discretionary Fund, which provides assistance to members as well as families from the community who come to Hosanna seeking help, are also encouraged.
