Hosanna's Covid Response

May 12, 2022
These COVID safety considerations are based on the current CDC information and recommendations regarding COVID-19 Community Levels for Olmsted County. These levels are based on a rating scale of “Low”, “Medium”, or “High”. The Community Levels are updated and published every Friday.

The Hosanna council has approved the following guidelines that are put in place immediately. The weekly risk level will be communicated to Hosanna congregation members via the Saturday weekly worship email. Please be aware of this as we seek to navigate this illness in a manner that is responsible, but also flexible.

Hosanna Lutheran Church Masking guidelines:
The Center for Disease Control (CDC) recently revised recommendations for steps to prevent spread of COVID-19. Each county is rated as low risk, medium risk, and high risk based on the number of active cases in the community per 100,000 population, the number of hospital admissions per week, and the number of staffed hospital beds occupied by COVID patients. A detailed description of how the CDC measures COVID activity in the community and assigns risk is given here: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/science/science-briefs/indicators-monitoring-community-levels.html

Risk for each county in the country is determined once per week and new risks usually are updated on Fridays. Current risk can be found at: https://www.cdc.gov/ after entering our state and county.

The CDC has outlined specific steps to prevent spread of COVID -19 and these are summarized in the table. At Hosanna we have implemented guidance for masking and other precautions based on the CDC’s risk assessment for Olmsted County. These are outlined in the second table
