Hosanna’s quilters meet monthly to help make quilts to warm people in need.  They meet on the 3rd Thursday of the month from 9:00 a.m.—2:00 p.m. Cutters are needed. Others are needed to pin the quilts together and to tie them. You don’t have to be an expert quilter to join the group. Quilts are given to Lutheran World Relief and locally to the youth in the LINK program of Lutheran Social Services as well as other local families in need of warmth and comfort. Coffee and treats are served in the mornings and everyone brings their own lunch. You may contact Julianne Jahn, 507-202-9752, or Janet Walsh, 763-568-2319, with questions.

Prayer Shawls

If you like to knit or crochet or would like to learn, you’re welcome to join Hosanna’s Prayer Shawl team. It meets on the 2nd Monday of each month at 6:30 p.m. and the 4th Friday of each month at 1:00 p.m. This small team meets at church to make prayer shawls or lap blankets for children or adults who are in need of the comfort of prayer due to an illness or death of a loved one or any kind of difficult life transition. Contact Carolyn Dahl at 507-288-0945 to learn how to get started. Members may also stop by the office to pick up a prayer shawl for a family member or friend in need of prayer and comfort.

Here are patterns that you can use to get started.
