The Call Committee completed the candidate review and interview process in early May. In conjunction with Pastor Meiers, the Call Committee decided, after much discussion and prayer, to recommend Rev. Karl Rist to the congregation for call as Hosanna's next associate pastor.
On Sunday, May 18, 2008 at 11:45 a.m., a special meeting of the congregation was held to vote on extending a call to Pastor Rist. The members present at the meeting overwhelmingly voted in favor. The synod office is sending the Letter of Call to Pastor Rist this week. He has 21 days from the time he receives the letter to inform the synod if he will accept or decline the call.
