Pastor Bill Meiers grew up about sixty miles south of Glacier National Park in Polson, Montana. His undergraduate years were spent at Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota where he majored in music. Following graduation, he taught public school music in Troy, Montana. Heeding God’s call to the ministry, he enrolled at Luther Seminary in St. Paul and received a Master of Divinity Degree, which included a year’s internship at Farmington, Minnesota. He has served as pastor of Zumbro Lutheran in Rochester, Minnesota, Bethany Lutheran Church in Red Lake Falls, Minnesota and Calvary Lutheran in Rapidan, Minnesota. Pastor Meiers has been Senior Pastor at Hosanna Lutheran since 2005.
His wife Sonja (Boyum) Meiers grew up in Battle Lake, Minnesota. She has a PhD in Nursing and currently serves as the Director and Professor of Nursing with the Graduate Programs in Nursing at Winona State University-Rochester. They have 3 children, Heidi (Jon)Kamrath, Britta (Reed) Carlson and Chris Meiers and three grandchildren, Noah, Kyra and Adeline Kamrath. They enjoy watching movies, walking, preparing meals, playing games (e.g. Scrabble) and singing as a family group
